Description:
POP is looking for a Senior Web Analyst who will be responsible for assisting in managing the analytics and optimization practice at POP and for managing and mentoring a team of Web Analysts. In addition they play a key role in business development efforts, internal initiatives and thought leadership. This position reports to the VP, Experience Strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
CLIENT WORK
Works with Experience Strategy resources to define KPIs for digital properties and programs
Determines appropriate metrics to measure KPIs
Designs and creates custom reports to measure performance
Collects and analyzes data, using a variety of tools, including Omniture, Google Analytics and Radian6 to evaluate overall performance of digital properties and programs
Makes recommendations for optimizing the performance of digital properties and programs
Works with a cross-functional team to define an optimization plan
Defines A/B and multivariate test scenarios and success metrics
Defines solution architecture and provides implementation guidance
Helps verify client deliverables are complete for implementation
Helps verify that agency implementations are correct
Works with QA and helps remedy unexpected behaviors
Help to define program ROI
Assist Client Development and Program Management staff to define scope, budget and timelines for projects
Help manage client needs and expectations
NEW BUSINESS
Represent POPs Analytics & Optimization capabilities in new business pitches
Write relevant portions of new business proposals, estimates budget, resource and scheduling needs
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Facilitate knowledge sharing and discussions within the team and across departments to improve thinking, process, communication and client work
Involved in analytics community
TEAM BUILDING AND MANAGEMENT
Define best practices for analytics and optimization practice at POP
Lead or delegates supporting initiatives and oversee their successful completion
Responsible for the growth, development and performance reviews of team members
Instrumental in recruiting and hiring new team members
Evaluate tools, makes recommendations for tool usage and owns vendor relationship
QUALIFICATIONS
Senior strategic thinker
Strong ability to interpret data and transform information into meaningful conclusions and recommendations
Experience with enterprise web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Urchin, Web Omniture, WebTrends, Coremetrics and experience with social analytics tools such as Radian6
Experience with A/B and multivariate testing tools such as Google Website Optimizer, Omniture Test&Target, Webtrends, Optimize etc.
Strong client-facing experience, preferably with Fortune 500 clients
Understanding of user experience best practices
Experience in successful business development efforts
Solid time management skills demonstrated by the ability to execute on multiple projects while working on a tight deadline
Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, facilitation, people and project management skills
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
A minimum of four years of experience working in analytics, digital agency experience strongly preferred
At least two years of proactive and effective leadership experience and a constructive and committed attitude
Bachelors degree required; MBA a plus
Willingness to travel up to 30 percent of the time
