We are looking for a senior database developer (Sr. SDE) with strong database architecture, design and development skills. This position would be focused on driving the Business Intelligence application designs and implementation with a focus on scalability and performance. Candidate should demonstrate expertise with T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, replication, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SQL ETL and other advanced SQL features. Excellent performance analysis skills, including techniques for analyzing database applications and identifying bottlenecks, experience in understanding SQL Server query plans and estimates, optimizing indexes and queries are required.
Responsibilities :
Identify business requirements of data warehouse. Plan, design, schedule and coordinate datawarehouse analysis, design, modeling, development, and deployment. Take full ownership of technical feature and design, identifying and resolving design issues proactively.
Develop rock solid code that exceeds expectations, Source Control, Unit Test & work with the test team towards resolving the bugs and sets the bar for high quality,performance, reliability and security.
Design end user interface including reporting. Develop best practices for data loading and extraction into and out of the data warehouse.
Select the best technology to create innovative and robust architecture to drive better customer values with lower cost
Make hard design trade offs that balance features vs. schedule vs. cost
Demonstrate leadership abilities, Ability to provide technical direction / mentor to junior developers on the team
Learn new technologies quickly. Your technical ability transcends any particular language or technology. You need to be comfortable dealing concurrently with many nascent technologies.
Improve development processes, documentation, enhance engineering via both quality and quantity
Be Great at teamwork. Work closely with the Program Management and Test teams to execute on project goals
Collaborate closely with your customers and partners .
Qualifications :
7+ years strong development experience with SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 (T-SQL), SSIS, SSAS,SSRS, C# or .NET Framework
Solid experience on Data warehousing, Data Analysis & modeling and a good grasp of software engineering principles
Excellent coding skills, Strong ability to execute.
Experience in performance fine tuning queries (all SQL objects) to be more efficient and maintainable
Experience with storage systems such as SAN, load balancing and partitioning.
Candidate should be able to independently design solutions, think fast and should be a quick learner.
Able to maintain strong focus and consistently drive for top quality results & excellence in software engineering
Experience &passion with Agile practices & methodology
Ability to work independently and in a team to research innovative solutions to challenging business/technical problems and knows to balance innovation and ongoing implementation work.
Can handle ambiguity and be flexible and very pragmatic. We juggle multiple, sometimes conflicting,projects. There will be lots of unknowns. You'll need to make solid progress on the project day by day.
Attention to detail,strong analytical & problem solving, presentation, debugging, troubleshooting skills & self motivated
Experience with applying engineering excellence best practices.
Excellent organizational, communication both written and verbal, and motivational skills
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related technical field required or relevant work experience.
The following development skills are a definite plus:
Web Development and Web Services (ASP.NET, XML, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, IIS, LINQ)
Knowledge and experience in any of the following areas: Data mining, Web mining, Machine learning, Statistics & Algorithmic background & its tools
Visual Studio SQL Project and Automated build experience.
