Data Analyst - Sr

Capella University is rapidly growing and our Research and Analytics team is helping lead the way. An opening for a Senior Data Marketing Analyst offers an opportunity for you to join the team and grow your career as Capella grows.

This position will support decision making through optimization across a broad spectrum of marketing activities, including offline and online efforts. This position reports to the Manager, Research & Analytics.

This position is primarily responsible for design, development and communication of business analytics that provide insight into the company's marketing performance. This includes:

- Creating and maintaining dashboards and reports to support marketing functional leaders

- Working across marketing systems to integrate data and deliver robust analysis that lead to insights and knowledge about our business. This includes examining results of analyses in order to interpret and offer recommendations to management and peers.

- Partnering with marketing functional leaders to understand their individual business intelligence needs.

- Collaborating with developers in problem solving to uncover system and data capabilities. This includes working side by side with developers to create system implementation strategies.

- Providing significant input into operating and strategic planning.

Requirements
Key Skills
Analytic Skills: Strong data mining abilities, including a depth of knowledge using computer based data analysis and statistical analysis tools. Experience and preferably certification with Omniture systems is required; SAS and predictive modeling experience is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; works well with other functional groups, and can communicate effectively with all levels of the company and external business partners. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Work within teams to develop projects and integrate findings and models into company activities as well as being a resource for other members of the team.

Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a track record of 5+ years of growth and success in business analytics and strategic planning
- Demonstrated capability in analyzing data to drive marketing strategy and support decision making in marketing programs
- Experience with marketing campaign analytics
- Bachelor's Degree in Math, Statistics, Marketing, finance or other quantitative relevant field required, Advanced degree strongly preferred
- 3+ years experience working with Omniture platform for consumer behavioral reporting and analytics and/or Omniture Certified Profession status for Site Catalyst or Analyst:Insight
- Strong familiarity and knowledge of Excel, SAS and other statistical and forecasting software as well as data retrieval tools
- Experience in direct marketing or internet marketing is a plus
